Built for everyday IT work
IT Engineer’s Toolbox is a practical workspace for experienced IT professionals and people learning IT infrastructure. Use it to plan address space, estimate storage and backup requirements, inspect structured data, and understand the assumptions behind a result.
Tools and learning
The current catalogue includes 120 tools, 10 interactive decision flows and 19 lessons. Topics cover networking, infrastructure and storage, reliability, APIs, automation, developer data, security, email and DNS, and AI engineering.
Clear answers with context
Tool pages explain the inputs, show sample values and provide a day-to-day use case with checks before applying a result. Expand the technical output when you need the underlying data. Lessons introduce the concepts and provide explained practice questions.
Browser-based by design
Calculations, search, quizzes and recommendations run in your browser. There is no account system or application backend. Tools do not send API requests, query live DNS, contact a language model or fetch live prices. An offline edition is available from the welcome page.
Accuracy and corrections
Formulas and supported behaviour are checked with automated tests and documented in the Methodology page. Tests do not prove that every result fits every platform. Check units, assumptions and your vendor documentation before changing a real system. Keep a reproducible example and authoritative reference when checking unexpected output.
